From 13 February to 28 September, the CentroCentro Cultural Centre will host an exhibition showcasing the work of the Fueradcarta publishing project led by the artists Patricia Mateo and José Luis López Moral. Ever since it was founded, this publishing house has sought to create an atlas of the contemporary art scene in Spain, offering limited editions of artist’s books at an affordable price.
Each edition of Fueradcarta includes 100 numbered booklets, each signed by the artist and accompanied by an original work. Its objective is to disseminate the work of Spanish creators in a different way.
Its main purpose is to encourage art collection though small works by contemporary artists, using them to showcase the different artistic trends in contemporary Spanish art. To date, 70 editions have been published, including the current trends in Spanish contemporary art through the eyes of their creators.
This Open Buffet exhibition brings the general public closer to the history of this small publishing house, reviewing its numbers which also provide a snapshot of the Spanish art scene in recent years.
