The American rock band will be visiting Madrid in summer 2026 to give an exclusive concert as part of The Black Parade Tour 2026. This much awaited event will be their only concert in Spain and will be held on 18 July at Iberdrola Music.
My Chemical Romance will be back on stage to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its iconic third studio album, The Black Parade, which is considered to be a reference of 21st-century rock. The album was released in 2006 and included singles like Welcome to the Black Parade, Famous Last Words, I Don't Love You and Teenagers, among others.
The Black Parade Tour 2026 comes after the huge success of Long Live: The Black Parade, which sold more than 450,000 tickets in just ten cities, becoming a global phenomenon. Critics described it as one of the most impressive shows of the last decade.
Now the group, which was created in New Jersey in 2001 by the vocalist Gerard Way, the bass player Mikey Way and guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero, is back with a new tour that will take them to stadiums across Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The musical style of My Chemical Romance has been associated with the rock, punk, pop punk and post-hardcore genres, and their influences include bands and artists like Queen, MC5, Misfits, Black Flag, The Beatles, Morrissey or Teenage Fanclub. In March 2013, the band announced their break-up, but following an absence of almost seven years, its comeback for a world tour was announced in October 2019.
