Twice a year, IFEMA MADRID’s Pavilion 14.1 (and other venues around the city) are turned into a giant catwalk showcasing the most coveted creations by leading fashion designers and visionaries from around the world, both established and new. The first MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK MADRID of the year will be taking place from 18 to 21 March 2026 (dates to be confirmed), an unmissable event for signature fashion in Spain that offers the biggest showcase of Spain’s fashion industry.
Mercedes-Benz FASHION WEEK MADRID (MBFWM), the biggest fashion event in Spain, celebrates its 83rd edition in March 2026, showcasing important innovations in the sector, with the aim of consolidating its position as a leading platform for the Spanish fashion industry and one of the biggest events in the world.
MBFWM is the perfect platform for designers looking to raise their brand profile and link them to fashion and new trends. The programme features designs by new up-and-coming creators presenting their collections, as well as shows by established designers.
As usual, MBFW Madrid has an interesting OFF Programme for each day of the event, featuring prestigious Spanish designers. As in past editions, the last day will be dedicated to emerging designers from Samsung EGO, showing all the latest developments in the renewal of Spanish fashion. The L’Oréal Paris Prize for Best Collection by a Designer and the L’Oréal Paris Prize for Best Model will also be presented. These awards recognise the work involved in making each garment and each look as well as the talent of all the team members.
The latest 2026 edition will be held over four days, two of which will feature fashion shows in different emblematic places around Madrid, consolidating the connection between MBFWMadrid and the city, local talent and international audiences, while the last two days will take place at IFEMA MADRID, with a differentiated approach:
The opening day on Wednesday 18 March will feature fashion shows by designers with a more elevated approach, devoted to haute couture. This day will include major firms that will attract the press, as well as a great deal of expectation and celebrities in order to kick off the March edition of MBFWMadrid in style and glamorously. The second day, 19 March, will celebrate talent with names that generate global interest and the presence of new generations of designers, with more urban, contemporary proposals aimed at digital natives.
The third day, Friday 20 March, will focus on industry, with a space devoted to international showrooms to foster professional networking and connections between brands, buyers and the specialised press. The final day of MBFW, 21 March, will celebrate the 20th anniversary of EGO with fashion shows and performances that will highlight the value of innovation and the creativity of up-and-coming designers.
It must be highlighted that the main catwalk of this latest edition will feature a new stage design and visual identity, leaving behind the characteristic black space to give way to a brighter, more dynamic and contemporary image, aligned with the innovative spirit of this new era.
