Madrid Otra Mirada (MOM) is an event organised by Madrid City Council’s Department for Culture, Tourism and Sport’s General Division for Cultural Heritage, which seeks to raise awareness of Madrid’s rich and varied cultural heritage. In 2025, it's holding its 13th edition and will feature more than 200 free activities. Held from 16 to 19 October 2025.
Museums, theatres, churches, cemeteries, parks, gardens, libraries, archives, cultural centres, hotels, palaces and other unique buildings will open their doors, offering guided visits, concerts, conferences, workshops, screenings and children’s activities.
All of these activities invite Madrileños and visitors to explore the city's cultural heritage and see sites from a perspective. Madrid Otra Mirada (MOM) offers a unique opportunity to find out more about our history, our heritage and how the institutions around us emerged.
The event’s two main attractions are that it offers the possibility of discovering first hand many emblematic buildings that are usually closed to the public, and that all of the activities are free of charge.
