La Central del Museo Reina Sofía

The bookstore at the Reina Sofia National Museum and Art Centre was inaugurated in October 2005 in a spacious 450-square metre store specializing in all the branches of Humanities. They carry over 300,000 titles classified by subject: Film, Music and Theatre, Social Sciences, Literature, Philology and Linguistics, Children’s and Young adult’s literature, Cooking and Travel.

The undisputable stellar genre is contemporary art, with catalogues from exhibitions, architecture and design books, videos, artists’ monographs, documentaries...

La Central del MNCARS is a space open to cultural events, exhibitions and book presentations.

It also manages orders, which they deliver both at home and abroad, and which can be purchased online at their website. Here, one can also check out their online magazine, which includes hard-to-find articles or essays that were once published in out-of-print magazines or conferences and talks that were never actually published.
