In the heart of the most traditional part of Madrid, Borca sells hand embroidered linens for the home, as well as spectacular manila shawls, made from natural silk and available in whole host of different designs, sizes and colours.
The origins of Borca date back to 1961, when Augusto González Lázaro and his wife Consuelo moved to Madrid and set up a small business on Gran Vía selling embroidered items: mantilla shawls from Granada, tablecloths typical of Lagartera, bobbin lace, handcrafted items from the Canary Islands, Valencian fans, etc...
From then on, the family and the business grew. The Borca label was founded and moved into its current premises in 1976. Since then, the store has been creating linens for the home, with tablecloths designed for all occasions, bed linens - hand embroidered or finished with bobbin lace -, as well as impressive manila shawls and bridal veils.
