Founded in 1990 by the chef from Alicante, Norberto Jorge, this small restaurant in the Prosperidad neighbourhood is specialised in Valencia-style dry rice dishes. Using a pan patented by the chef himself, the patella, he prepares traditional dishes from his roots, which can be savoured in a friendly, family-run restaurant where diners feel at home.
Casa Benigna boasts several dining rooms, in which round tables and corner tables prevail. Some of them can be turned into a VIP area with capacity for up to 14 people. Adjacent, it also has a free car-park. The restaurant's décor features elements and photographs that reflect the cultural and family roots of its owner, as well as numerous expressions of his interests and creative activity.
The two large windows on the façade and the glass ceiling in the main dining room provide plenty of natural light during meals. In the evenings, the lighting is dimmed and wax lamps are placed on the tables to create a warmer and more intimate atmosphere.
The menu consists mainly of dry rice dishes and various starters to share. It is rounded off with a carefully selected wine list.
